Even a morning walk in the forest

Silence, fresh air, light - you don't need more than a morning walk in the forest to calm your mind. The kaschkasch design couple has embodied this feeling in their new bathroom collection for Villeroy & Boch. Antao plays with the perfectly imperfect shape of the dewdrop to create a unified collection in which shapes, colors and materials come together in perfect harmony. It conveys a sense of peace and balance that lasts throughout the day.

Perfection in imperfection

The starting point of Antao was the search for the perfect shape, but not with a perfectionist approach, but with the aim of a natural appearance. The biggest source of inspiration for the collection, the dewdrop, is the common motif that runs through all the pieces: from the ceramics to the bathtub, from the mirrors to the faucets. Its shape echoes most prominently in the sinks that can be installed: it is natural, slightly asymmetrical, yet in complete harmony and balance. In addition to the built-in sinks available in three sizes - between 40 and 65 cm - Antao also offers a built-in sink in sizes between 80 and 120 cm, forming a smooth transition between the counter and sink. What makes this collection so special? Just as in nature, where no two dewdrops are alike, in the Antao collection, the different-sized washbasins take on different shapes. Natural asymmetry not only lends individual pieces a characterful appearance, but also has functional advantages. For example, it leaves spacious surfaces free and provides a perfect place for the matching Antao faucets. The faucets also continue the dewdrop motif with their soft contours and unique shape, making them the ideal addition to the collection in 11 versions, with chrome, matte black and brushed nickel finishes.

Ethereal colors, spherical lighting

The colors are also inspired by nature. In addition to classic white with a matte or glossy surface, the ceramic is also available in trendy matte colors: such as matte black (Pure Black), almond (Almond) and the new shade, morning green (Morning Green). These warm earth colors create a sense of peace and tranquility in the bathroom. The color selection is completed by natural furniture colors such as rock grey, leaf green and midnight blue. It deserves a special mention that the Antao illuminated mirror, available in three versions, creates a perfect atmosphere in the room with its ethereal backlight, which can be controlled with a touch sensor or, as an optional accessory, with an intelligent ZIGBEE controller.

Everything falls into place

Antao furniture is in perfect harmony with the ceramic pieces of the collection, and at the same time they are enriched with special details thanks to the high-quality natural materials, structured fronts and harmonious color selection. In addition to high-quality painted surfaces in soft, natural, trendy colors, the Antao furniture family boasts real wood furniture in honey oak and warm walnut colors, as well as elegant, natural stone inlays made of real Botticino marble. The base surface and the structured front can be freely chosen, so a monochromatic appearance can be created, but even exciting combinations consisting of a painted furniture body and wood or marble can be dreamed up. The interior structure of the furniture is clean and can be modified as desired with oak dividers for clear organization. Optional LED drawer lighting ensures ideal visibility even in the dark. The wide range of furniture consists of different sizes of base cabinets as well as various additional furniture such as chests of drawers, tall chests of drawers, tall cabinets and midi cabinets. In this way, the perfect layout can be created in any space.

A relaxing bath

Another highlight of Antao is the free-standing bathtub. It's a perfect place to stop time and recharge your batteries. The bathtub naturally reflects the main motif of the collection: the fine asymmetry makes this designer piece attractive, which also meets the strictest ergonomic and functional requirements. The tub, made of the finest Quaryl® material with 60% quartz, feels particularly pleasant on the skin and keeps the water warm for a long time. Slim edges and a depth of 48 cm ensure maximum use of space with exceptional bathing comfort. The Antao bathtub is available in one color – alpine white, matt white gray and the new morning green. A two-color version is also available with a white interior and a color inlay that can be selected from two hundred RAL shades. Together with the matching, gracefully curved, free-standing tub filler faucet, the tub turns any bathroom into a sanctuary of peace and tranquility for an intimate, at-home bathing experience. The SilentFlow tub filling system can be selected as an extra comfort feature: the water flows into the tub from below in a star shape, so there is no annoying splashing when taking a pampering, relaxing bath.

The name of kaschkasch

The studio was born from the perfect combination: Sebastian Schneider and Florian Kallus both graduated in carpentry and then studied design. In their work, they combine their reliable craftsmanship skills with an innovative approach. The name "kaschkasch" was created by combining the surnames of the two founders when it was founded in 2011. Since then, kaschkasch has worked for many foreign clients in the furniture industry, as well as in the lighting and home furnishing sectors. Antao is their first bathroom collection.
